Build Your Own Robot - Dominos Machine

Building robots can be fun, easy with the right mind set, and can be done by nearly anyone. NRC staff will guide you through the tools and techniques you will need to get started building robots. This class was designed with the beginner in mind and attempts to break down complex concepts into easy pieces. It covers the technology you will need to know to build basic robots.
Time: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Fee: $50
Ages: 5th/6th graders ONLY
Location: NRC Sunflower Room
Registration Deadline: Friday, January 6th
Note: Please bring a sack lunch, jacket, swim suit, and towel. If we finish our robots early we will swim from 4:00pm - 5:00pm.

 

Community Wide Garage Sale

Sunday, January 22nd

Join us for our Community Wide Garage Sale. If you are looking to get rid of your old stuff, rent a booth at our sale and leave all of the advertising up to us! Plus the weather is guaranteed to be great inside of our gymnasium.

Time: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Fee: $25 per booth
Location: NRC Gymnasium
Entrance: FREE!
Registration Deadline: Monday, January 16th
Minimum: 15 booths   Maximum: 35 booths
Note: Each booth will receive one table. If you need more they are available to rent for $5 each and must be paid for at time of registration. Set up will begin at 9:30 AM.

How to Eat (not What or How Much)
A Fresh Perspective on Peace with Food

Could it be that what you eat isn’t the problem? What if the problem all along has been the manner in which you eat and has less to do about your food choices? Diet plans, healthy eating and weight loss education miss the mark when it comes to facilitating behavior change with food. This class is for any dieting casualty who feels guilty about eating enjoyable foods and wants to simply enjoy eating again. If you think about food a lot, either eating it or avoiding it, and are concerned that your weight negatively affects your health this class is for you! Come learn how to shift to enjoyable, tuned-in eating from an award-winning food peace dietitian. 5th/6th Grade Dance - Winter Wonderland

Are you ready to dance? Grab all of your friends and come on down to the Rec Center for an evening of fun! All students attending must follow the USD 373 dress code and NRC rules. Remember no black hard soled shoes are allowed in the gym.
